Phil King whips out the stealth move
Shocking, I know - but Rep. Phil King, a Craddick lieutenant, is in fact trying to kill Geren's amendment with the constitutional point of order.
If parliamentarian Denise Davis (via Williams) uphold the point of order, Geren's amendment dies without a vote.

So what's the latest update for those of us who can't get into the House's beleaguered video streamer?

personal bias? no sir. we told you a few minutes before this post that he was going to do that.
that's why it's not shocking.
The rest is fact.

What a cop out! Just calling him a Craddick Lt. is biased. He is an equal member and his point of view is as legit as anyone's. The snide statement along with the diminition of his status as a lt. is what makes it seem biased. You may not be so but all who saw the post here howled that it showed bias. Enough said on my part.

Laney had lieutenants, too. All speakers have them and have had them for decades. It's not a pejorative term, and I didn't coin it. A "lieutenant" is a member who has been elevated by the leadership. Most of them are proud to be called one of the speaker's lieutenants.
