Dunnam: The One Man P.O. Band gets a hit

House Democratic Caucus Chairman Jim Dunnam - the thorn in Craddick's side for three sessions, the man the GOP loves to hate, the D that has had Republican reps spittin' nails all session, just passed his first bill of the session.

Not to mention 30 amendments - which was his real legislative package. But since none of his bills got out of committee or calendars this session (which was not surprising)

But true to form, a bunch of Republicans got to the back mic and ribbed him a la freshman style. He took in stride, called Rep. Kevin Bailey a "sasquatch" and the bill passed easily.

You know his staffers were crowded around the TV watching - particularly when he threw out four nonsequitors that his staff dared him to get into his speech from the front mic (sasquatch included). You know they were stoked.
